A superb cultural event.

The second edition of the International Festival of Jewish Culture, OyOyOy! is scheduled at Casale Monferrato (Alessandria) from June 2th, to June 5th, 2011.

The event is organized by “Monferrato Cult”, non profit Association, promoted by the Casale Monferrato Municipality, the Alessandria Province and the Piemonte Region with the patronage of the “Unione delle Comunità Ebraiche Italiane – UCEI” and in cooperation with the Jewish Community of Casale Monferrato and the “Arte Storia e Cultura Ebraica a Casale Monferrato e nel Piemonte Orientale”, non profit Foundation.

Exhibitions, cultural events, theme evenings and meetings are scheduled all through the Festival period from June 2th, to June 5th, 2011.
The OyOyOy! Festival takes place in the “heart” of Casale Monferrato: Santa Croce, San Domenico churches;  the Synagogue area; and in the other streets where the main historic and artistic monuments are located. Moreover on Sunday June 10th, all the main artistic sites and museums are open and can be visited.

A programme full of evens, but “easy to deal with” OyOyOy! is a cultural event, located in a live town, that is not looking for any folkloristic recovery, but wants a contact with the millenarian cultures that have left deep marks in the Monferrato history.
The Jewish culture, among others, is here a living reality that interacts with the social, cultural and religious entities of the territory. OyOyOy! lasts 10 days and all visitors may enjoy every single event.

This second edition of the OyOyOy! Festival lists important artistic and educational exhibitions, many cultural conversations with famous national and international stars, interviewed so to dig and bring out their ideas, in harmony with the topics and the typical sensibility of the Jewish culture. Among others: Manuela Dviri, Alberto Cavaglion, Luisa Muraro, Gad Lerner, Vito Mancuso, Younis Tawfik, Giuseppe Laras, Ugo Volli, Marco Brunazzi, Gianni Vernbetti, Paolo Debenedetti and, very special guest, David Grossman.
